Teacup from Mom

This is another of the teacups I inherited from my Mom.  I realize my elipses are a little "off", but liked it anyway.  The actual cup has a tiny chip in the lip, but the cup is never put to "practical" use so hopefully it will hang on.  I handled it carefully while bringing it into the studio to paint.

Treasure

This tiny cup was my Father's when he was little.  The inside is lined with a gold-like material so I'm not so sure how healthy that would be nowadays.  It has a little boy's angelic face painted on the other side, but I didn't want to get too fussy with the painting so opted to paint the plain side.

Tea for One

 

Hello,

I've had a busy weekend.  Over to Scottsdale and back in two days and now the thought of a peaceful cup of tea is very appealing.  This cup is one of several left to me by my Mother.  I keep them carefully guarded in my china closet, but have fun painting one or another of them once in a while.  Hope you enjoy this one--care to join me for a cup of tea?

Mother's Teacup

My Mother used to love her tea and enjoyed it the most when it was in one of her lovely china cups. She had a collection and treated them with loving care. I store them in my china cabinet now and think of her every time I see them.
