SUNFLOWER EXPLOSION

I've always loved painting sunflowers and they seem particularly conducive to palette knife painting.  This one has lots of nice juicy texture.  As a suggestion to any oil painters out there, palette knife painting helps separate us from photographers even more because of the texture we can create.  Lots of fun!!!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  We had 10 guests so it was a lot of work, but fortunately everything came off very well.  My son deep fries the turkey and it was yummy!  We were supposed to have rain, but we got lucky and it waited until early this morning.

  1. Hi Lori:) I like the way your beautiful sunflowers are painted. Different than the most people paint a sunflower. The style and the color reminds me of the sunflowers by Van Gogh! Very nicely done:)

    1. Thanks, Renate! Sorry it took me so long to find your comment. I guess I was kind of goofing off over the holidays.
