CIGARETTE KEEPER

This little red cup came from China in the early 1920's.  We inherited it from my husband's parents who were stationed in China with the Navy at that time.  It was designed to hold cigarettes and worked well for them until they came out with filtered cigarettes which no longer fit.  Fortunately by that time they had quit smoking anyway.  I just plopped a pear on top and was good to go....

Enjoy (now I get to eat the pear)!

JUICY PEARS-SOLD

ORIGINAL
Size: 6 x 6"

Two pears I selected to paint from our local Farmer's Market.  They are on a pale teal green plate.
The painting was blocked in with a brush and finished with a palette knife.  It has lots of texture to
match the juice "delectableness" of the pears.  They were good to eat, too, when the painting was
done!

SATSUMA AND COPPER-SOLD

Another painting of my little copper fondue pot.  Painting copper is really fun and I'm hooked on it for the time being.  Also the little Satsuma tangerine was a lot of fun.  I just went back to the market and bought a few more.  I'll try to paint them before the leaves totally wither up and die.
