I previously posted this and then realized I didn't like it. After some changes so that it better reflects the feeling of late afternoon, I am happier with it. Do any of you painters ever have that problem? Somehow when I see it on my blog or on my site on Fine Art America, I suddenly see all my mistakes. Hopefully I will eventually get so I can see my problems before I've gone to the effort of posting them. Anyway, this was a painting done in the late afternoon at Irvine Park. The water looked like a ribbon--so amazing! It's been so cold here (for us) that we've gotten more fall color than usual.
